About Me

Hi there!  My name is Shawn, thanks for dropping by. I am a wife, married to the love of my life, Dave.  I am a totally-in-love mom to three amazing daughters.  I am the wacky youngest sister to eight marvelous siblings, daughter of the best Mom and Dad in the world, daughter-in-love of the sweetest in-laws one could ever hope for, favorite sister-in-law to all those who dared to marry into our chaotic family, and crazy aunt to a growing second and third generation.

 

Our family had the wonderful privilege of spending fourteen years as missionaries to Papua New Guinea.  For more than a decade of that time we lived in the remote and primitive Simbai tribe and we loved every minute of it.  Today, we work with leaders throughout the Asia-Pacific Rim who are investing in the needy souls within their communities.

 

I am an experienced homeschool mom, blogger, librarian, and author. I am fulfilling my dream of encouraging others by teaching history through scribbling about the men and women who have inspired and changed me.
